  • Pour the fresh milk into a large bowl and add 2 spoons of condensed milk. Stir well to dissolve them

  • Beat the chicken eggs into another bowl and use chopsticks to whip well

  • Filter the chicken egg liquid trough a small mesh sieve down to the bowl of milk mixture
  • Gently stir the mixture to make it smooth and even
  • Pour the mixture into the ready-prepared plastic cups and then, place it in the steam sauce for 30 – 40 minutes

  • Afterthat, take the cake out and put in the cold water to make the cake cooler and continue keeping in the fridge for 15 minutes
  • Add 2 gracilaria flour with 400ml water and sugar into a small sauce and stir well
  • Bring the sauce of gracilaria mixture to a boil with the low heat
  • After boiling for 2 minutes, add milk coffee to dissolve together

  • Use a knife to split the cake and turn the flan cups upside down into the shaping mold. Next, pour the mixture of gracilaria on the top
  • Put the gracilaria flan into the fridge for 2 – 3 hours before enjoying

Some tips to make gracilaria flan

  • To check whether the cake is well-done or not, you will use a toothpick to thrust into the middle of the flan. If the flan does not stick to the toothpick, it is well-done and vice versa
  • You can utilize the clean beer cans and cut them in halves to use as shaping molds as the below picture
  • When pouring the gracilaria jelly into the shaping mold, you should pour the jelly to cover ½ the flan first and then, only when the gracillaria jelly coagulates will you pour the rest.
