Authentic braised shrimps:

Ingredients:

Shrimps: 500 grams

A handful of spring onions

Spices: black pepper, sugar, salt, fish sauce and honey

How to braise:

Step 1:

Use a pair of scissors to cut the heads of the shrimps diagonally and cut off the long antennas

Devein and shell the shrimps

Wash the shrimps and drain well

Step 2:

Marinate the shrimps with ½ spring onions, 1 tablespoon of fish sauce, 1 tablespoon of sugar, ½ teaspoon of blended black pepper, ½ teaspoon of salt and a little honey. Stir well

Set it aside for 10 – 15 minutes

Step 3:

Put a pan onto the stove and heat it

Pour a tablespoon of cooking oil

Add the spring onions into the pan and stir fry

Step 4:

Add the shrimps to stir fry

Add 2 tablespoons of hot water

After 2 minutes, turn the shrimps upside down to cook 2 sides evenly

Before removing the pan from the heat, add a little finely chopped spring onions and stir gently
